OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
Based in Chew Valley, Mendip Hockey Club aspires to be a welcoming, friendly and competitive club serving Mendip and the surrounding areas to promote the development of field hockey. As a club we actively encourage the development of healthy competition within the individual, whilst also promoting the essential qualities of good sportsmanship.
Mendip Hockey Club provides good quality coaching for all senior players and junior section.
Mendip Hockey Club holds regular fundraising/social events in order to encourage all club members to socialise together, whilst at the same time raising club funds to facilitate and maintain field hockey at an affordable level for all members.
In short, Mendip Hockey Club encourages and helps all members to achieve their potential as hockey players so that they may become the best that they can be.
Alongside this, Mendip Hockey Club also recognises the great importance that fun and friendship plays in securing a healthy and competitive future for the club through the enjoyment of membership.
We play our home matches at Chew Valley Leisure Centre (BS40 8QB) and run 2 Ladies teams and 2 Men’s teams. The club also has an expanding junior section that offers young people the chance to gain hockey skills and build team spirit within a friendly and safe environment.
