29/11/14: Mendip matched league leaders Salisbury for much of this game, demonstrating some excellent passing and movement, but ultimately succumbed to another defeat.
Salisbury scored once in each half to secure the three points, the first goal coming from a quick break against the run of play and the second from a deflected strike from the edge of the D.
Despite going two down, Mendip continued to work hard through to the final whistle.
Player of the match, centre-back Anna Swift was instrumental in many of Mendip’s positive moves, making some super tackles deep in the defensive D and distributing the ball well through midfield.
Mendip take a break from league action over the Christmas period, returning on Saturday the 17th of January, away to Bournemouth.
