26/9/15: Mendip travelled to Bradley Stoke on Saturday full of confidence. Right from the start Mendip had most of the play passing well and challenging the South Glos defense freqeuently. Amy McGowan claimed the first goal, with Sarah Pearce and Abbie Sage also beating the keeper in the first half. Any advances by South Glos were calmly handled by Mendip defenders, using quick turnover to drive the ball upfield again.
The second half saw Emma Moffat eventually beating the defense with a penalty. A bit more organisation and better positioning of the forwards enabled two more goals for Abbie Sage and another for Sarah Pearce. Player of the match was midfielder Katie Riches for her excellent workrate and good distribution.
