5/12/15: Mendip travelled to Failand for a late pushback on Saturday, and were richly rewarded for their efforts. Mendip led 3-0 at the break, thanks to two goals from Maddison Collins and a further from Sarah Pearce. Mendip scored four more in the second half, with Collins and Pearce both securing their hat-tricks. Stand-in captain Emma Moffat put the seal on an excellent performance with a fiercely struck penalty corner in the dying seconds to make it seven. The player of the match award went to right-back Lowri Bryant-Young, whose overlapping runs and super crosses created the majority of Mendip’s goal scoring opportunities.
